Annual Certification at PRISMA

Assalamualaikum and hellooooo!

I’m back again, this time courtesy of my friends asking me about Annual Certificate application on PRISMA. To be honest, I kept forgetting about this despite my boss telling me to do so before the year ends. There’s still time to apply for it (due date 31/12/2023 as per LFM above) – this is procrastinator me at work gituh – but since a lot of you are asking how to do it, I thought it’ll be easier if I just write a post for everyone!

First thing first, log in to your PRISMA account. Wow it’s been a hot minute since I last opened mine, thank goodness for Google password manager yeah because no way would I remember what my password was haha. Theeeen you go to My Application. It’s where all your applications are, from your PRP to FRP certs, including your soon-to-be annual certs! Click “Apply Now” at the Apply AC.

What comes next is pretty much the same thing we did for FRP application, just need to fill in whatever information is necessary. Amend your home address if needed, and click same as home address if you’re not practicing anywhere. But since most of us are FRP practicing at KKM hospitals or KK, clear up the home address already there with your current facility’s address (psst: you can update your current practicing address at your profile so later on when you need to renew the annual cert, the practice address won’t be your home address anymore). As for the type of practice, click on the dropdown list the correct one for your facility: KKM/Bukan KKM: Hospital Kerajaan/Klinik Kesihatan etc. Now I understand some of you might not have the KKM option but worry not! All you need to do is go to helpdesk and report the problem there. Put in your full name, email address and subject as “Kemaskini Data Annual Retention Certificate” and click category for “AC” which means the report’s for annual cert. For the message you can write something along the lines of “Dear sir/madam, regarding the application for annual certificate, I am currently working in the public sector but there is no option for this available in PRISMA. Thus, I would like to ask regarding the application process. My details are as follows: Name, No I/C, No FRP. Thank you.” You will get a response back when the issue is settled so breathe easy alright.

Months back (lol I just started floating when I looked back at the date, haven’t even gotten my FRP number yet - thinking way ahead of the game yeah), all I wrote was simply my name, no I/C and kakitangan kerajaan KKM hahaha. At the time I just wanted to inform PRISMA that I work in the government hospital and I would like to be exempted from the annual cert application fee.

Okie, next is your CPD point. I saw it was written “the point needs to calculate between 01-Jan-2022 and 01-Jan-2023 as cumulative points”, but to be honest, I did not submit any CPD points for year 2022 as it was the year of PRP journey who got time for CPD? and only started to submit my CPD points for year 2023 (ended PRP, floated and got my FRP number in March, got my khidmat wajib posting in July) so I just put the cumulative points I had since 1st Jan 2023 instead. I attached the Log Book APC summary from Jan to Dec 2023 as the attachment for pihak PRISMA to refer to (you can get it from myCPD page). You’ll need to attach your certified IC also but I just recycled the one I used for FRP number and then you’re set to go!

So new rule for CPD this year is that we cannot claim 30 points for PRP training anymore because that was our "tugas hakiki" (well unless your boss is lenient about this, my boss sure ain't). However, there are a lot of ways to collect CPD points aside from going to kursus or bengkel, some of which you may refer to this blog here!
